Islamic Education – Boys Intermediate Class
Welcome to Class Abyad For Boys
The aim of this class is to teach those who already have a sound foundation of Islamic Education through the study of the Quran, the hadith and other Islamic texts and who want to continue developing ones Islamic knowledge from a broad and multidisciplinary perspective. This course is a comprehensive year long program of study that takes place at our weekend Islamic school in Chadwell Heath, London. All intermediate aspects of Quranic recitation, Tajweed and Islamic Studies will be covered.
A brief outline of the syllabus:
Learn To Recite Tajweed
Tajweed is the science of Quranic recitation. Here students will not only learn how to recite the Quran, but also how to recognise Tajweed rules whilst also developing a tune.
Objective: To learn further Sifaat (characteristics) relating to letters, whilst not compromising its correct recital.
Outline: Sifaat (characteristics) of letters, Noon and Meem saakin rules as well as rules of Laam and Raa. Recital will have a flow with early development of a tune
Islamic Studies
Along with reciting the Quran, it is equally as important to understand it. The Quran goes together with Hadith when understanding subjects in Islam.
Objective: To implement the pillars of Islam into the daily lives.
Outline: Students will learn how to perform the basics of the 5 pillars of Islam, including Salah under the supervision of teachers, introduction to the articles of faith and stories of the Prophets taught in more detail
Surah and Dua Memorisation
This course focuses on memorising the Surah’s of the Quran in stages whilst also applying Tajweed. Additionally, dua and dhikr used for Salah, protection and daily use will also be memorised, in both Arabic and English translation, as well as their virtues.
Objective: To learn additional surah to use in Salah as well as learning Dua and kalimah used to earn extra reward and for certain occasions.
Outline: Students will learn up to, but not limited to, Surah Ad-Duha, Kalimah 4 to 7, Dua use for certain events (based on the weather, health, etc.)
This level of the course is ideal for Students who lready have a basic understanding of Tajweed, and the 5 pillars of Islam who now need to learn how to apply these into their daily lives.
Class Timetable for Islamic Studies Intermediate Class:
Tajweed + Quranic recitation – From 10:00am – 11:15am
Break – 11:15 to 11:30
Surah & Du’a memorisation – From 11:30am – 12:00pm
Islamic Studies (Aqeedah (beliefs) & Fiqh & Jurisprudence) – From 12:00pm – 13:00pm
